After nine long years of construction and scandals, China will finally officially announce the opening of the longest bridge across the sea in the world. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday in Hong Kong. The length of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge is 55 kilometers. The bridge is part of China’s ambitious plan to create a global science and technology center by connecting two territories — Hong Kong and Macau, which is the largest gambling center in the world, with nine nearby cities. With a $ 1.5 billion economy capacity, the new mega-district, known as the Pearl River Delta, will be a worthy competitor to Silicon Valley. The project will also build railway tracks for the passenger Express train worth $ 11 billion.
